  Got transferred down here to AZ during my daughter's senior year. She came here with aspirations to have a great Senior year and thrive in the new school that supposedly shared a lot of the values and promises that were important to her. She had her choice to go to any school she wanted, but based on recommendations of faculty and staff she felt ALA was the best fit. In my mind, she should have chosen a different school now. There were only a few staff members that truly looked out for her. Terribly disappointed in several teachers and administration, including the Directors. At the request of my daughter, she asked me to not make things a big deal, so that's what I did. What's ridiculous is that some teachers didn't even know she was a senior until a few weeks ago. Pathetic and shows how interested they are their student's success. Chanko has got to go and Bisbee pouts and deflates her students by telling them how bad they are and then she'll go sit in a corner. Can't even recognize her Seniors on an what is supposed to an important night, because she "forgot". Another "interested" teacher. My daughter has always earned good grades, never got in trouble, played at Carnegie Hall and now she leaves hating her violin, and more than excited to leave ALA. As a parent, I implore you to look around at other charter schools in the area.
